Shipping of Equipment, Insects, and Frozen Rodents

We offer door-to-door delivery by car or to a predetermined meeting point in the following regions:
- Along Highway 20 between La Pocatière and St-Apollinaire.
- The city of Lévis and its boroughs.
- The city of Quebec and its boroughs.
Delivery costs are $5 plus taxes.
The minimum order is $15 before taxes and shipping fees.
The customer must be home to receive their package.
Delivery times are to be determined based on availability.

Animal Delivery (by Appalaches Reptiles)

We offer door-to-door animal delivery by car, or to a meeting point, to be discussed based on the customer’s location.
Delivery times are to be discussed according to availability.
Delivery zones may include various regions in Quebec and Ontario at specific times of the year.
Delivery fees are adjusted based on the customer’s location. They can start from $20 plus taxes, if a trip is already planned for your area, and may reach amounts similar to those charged by Reptile Express for more distant shipments.
When delivered by Appalaches Reptiles, the live arrival of the animal is guaranteed.

Animal Shipping within Canada via Reptile Express

We offer animal shipping with Reptile Express (FedEx).
The animals we ship are carefully prepared for their journey, ensuring their comfort and safety while respecting their well-being. We have nearly a hundred shipments under our belt.
We guarantee the live arrival of shipped animals in the months of March, April, May, June, September, October, and the first three weeks of November.
We do not ship animals from December to February, inclusive, in order to avoid the risks of mortality due to winter conditions. If a customer requests delivery during these months, and the service is available and deemed safe by Reptile Express, Appalaches Reptiles guarantee of live arrival will still not apply during this period.
In summer (July and August), shipping animals can be challenging due to heat. When temperatures are low enough to ensure a safe shipment beyond doubt, live arrival will be guaranteed by Appalaches Reptiles.
At any time, Appalaches Reptiles and Reptile Express may decide to postpone a shipment if they deem it unsafe for the animals.
Shipments are only available for delivery to the customer on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.
The Appalaches Reptiles Live Arrival Guarantee includes the following conditions: Animal replacement guarantee in case of death on arrival. The animal offered in replacement of the deceased will be a reptile of the same species of equivalent price (with discussion with the client for selection). No refund for the pet will be offered, only a replacement. In addition, shipping costs will not be refunded. The Live Arrival Guarantee will not be honoured by Appalaches Reptiles if death is caused by FedEx error or negligence (e.g. box left out, box lost, delivery time too long) as FedEx does not provide us with a refund in the event of the animal’s death. If the animal dies, photo proof will be required for replacement. Please note that we do not offer any other compensation (e.g., client travel, work leave, loss of enjoyment).
We ship to all regions of Canada covered by Reptile Express. This excludes certain rural or remote areas (e.g., postal codes with two 0s).
Shipping fees with Reptile Express vary depending on the customer’s location, number of animals shipped, box size, season, etc. These fees typically range from $120 to $250 (taxes included). * To obtain an accurate quote, please contact us with your postal code and the details of the animals you wish to adopt.
We require the customer to be home for the arrival of the animal. Signature is required on delivery.
If the customer is unable to be present for the animal’s arrival, it will be left at an authorized FedEx delivery center. The customer will then need to pick up their animal directly from the center.

Export to the United States

We can export our animals to the United States via Reptile Express. These shipments occur at predetermined times.
Export fees vary depending on the box size. They start at $435 CAD* (non-CITES) per box. A box may contain multiple animals.
